Default Character Recreation

A fairly simple concept. Something that was definitly lacking in Factions. No I'm not talking about a "Beauty Merchant" or someone who can give you a different haircut, I'm talking about recreating your character. Why? It may not fit into the RP aspect but when I buy a new chapter of guildwars I expect to be able to use ALL the content, even on my original characters. So here is my solution.

For every new CD key (Chapter CD Key) added to your account you will get a one time only chance to recreate your RP characters. When you log in and select one of your characters under his or her name will be an option to Recreate. You simply are brought to the character creation screen and have all the options from all the chapters you've amassed into your account. This would only be available for RP characters, and by one time only I mean you won't be able to recreate that character again until another key is added. You would have the chance to rename him or here as well.

No you will not be able to just buy copies of the same chapter and keep adding them to your account. Why? Is 50 dollars really worth making your character look different?

Another idea if you guys think that is a little too loose fitted would be. After you recreate your character you would start at level 1 (In the campaign of your choice) with that character but keeping all the skills and equipment.

How about a unrepeatable quest for your character to be "changed" by some ubar powerful NPCs with ubar godly powers? I think would somewhat fit into the RP aspect of Guild Wars.

A "Back to the Future" quests perhaps. Again, offered by an ubar poweful NPC with ubar godly powers.

Current amount of experience points is locked, stored in a corner.
Starts fresh at level 1 with 0 experience until your character earns 140,000 experience points, reached level 20, then your previous experience points is unlocked, and the 140,000 is added back to it.

How that sound aye?

i wouldnt really want to change the face of my character, but let us change the hair styles and make it so you pay like 1k per change, not just get one chance and then be done with it.

This is a character recreation thread, not a beauty merchant thread. I like to keep it one idea per thread... Not saying that the beauty merchant is a bad idea. But theres already been enough posts about it.

Yes, this idea seems a lot more fair than a beauty merchant. Truthfully, this would really help me right now, seeing as how I hate the looks of all my characters except my Assassin. The only reason being that I spent about an hour trying different looks for my Assassin.

And many others won't see it, but this idea seems to be really original, good job!
